A song about "doing the right thing" or "being the right person", turning out to be the wrong thing vis-a-vis how you're really wired.
Even when people undergo massive shifts—such as a "bully" becoming a Buddhist or a far-left atheist becoming a conservative Christian—their core personality traits (like being a "black-and-white thinker") often remain identical.
