Window (Holga Camera)

Written in 1990 before Windows. I recall writing it on a typewriter.

She don't know the city
She travels from afar
The tall trees turn to skyscrapers
Out the window of her car
In the gray steamy light
Her mind is like a shadow
Memories turn to reality
Out the window of her car

The city holds her future
But her heart is in the field
Majestic pines turn to exit signs
Out the window of her car

The village that she lives in
Is spare and full of charm
Lonesome roads turn to freeways
Out the window of her car
In the neon and fluorescent
Her mind is like a meadow
Reality turns to fantasy
Out the window of her car
